Your role, your impact

As a senior advisor, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), you will act as the Human Capital subject matter expert for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Your role will require both technical expertise in managing HRIS systems and a strong understanding of HR processes to ensure that the HRIS meets our organizational needs by streamlining HR processes and enabling the efficient management of employee data, benefits, payroll, performance management, and other HR-related functions. You will also be instrumental in establishing the HRIS strategic roadmap and prioritizing projects, requests, and enhancements to the HCM. You will report to the Director, Human Capital Strategic Initiatives and Talent.

Your day-to-day

  • HRIS Management:

    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage and maintain HRIS platforms, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility;

    • Lead the configuration, implementation, and testing of HRIS updates, changes, and integrations with other organizational systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, time keeping, etc.);

    • Troubleshoot HRIS-related issues and collaborate with IT (COE) or third-party vendors to resolve technical problems;

    • Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for HRIS.

  • Data Management and Compliance:

    • Oversee the collection, storage, and security of employee data within the HRIS;

    • Stay informed about privacy laws and regulations regarding employee data to ensure ongoing compliance and proactively address any changes or updates to legal requirements;

    • Regularly review and update security protocols and user permissions to protect sensitive employee information;

    • Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to optimize HR processes using the HRIS platform;

    • Work with Human Capital team members to streamline workflows and improve efficiency across various Human Capital functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation management, benefits administration, offboarding, talent management, succession management, skills and qualifications, performance management, etc.

  • Strategy and Vision:

    • Act as a strategic thought partner to develop and execute the evolution of the HRIS strategic roadmap using a continuous improvement mindset;

    • Effectively partner and collaborate with IT (COE) to ensure smooth system integration and data synchronization.

  • User Support and Training:

    • Provide training and ongoing support to Human Capital team members, managers, and employees on how to use the HRIS effectively, address system questions and issues, and requests for assistance.

Keys to your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, information technology, business administration, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HRIS management or a related role;

  • Experience with the Oracle HCM platform, or other similar systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, etc.;

  • Proficiency in HRIS software and data reporting tools;

  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, processes, and workflows;

  • Knowledge of HR compliance requirements and data security standards;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;

  • Agility and ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects in parallel;

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage projects and partner with cross-functional teams;

  • Excellent communication, change management, and interpersonal skills.

Language skills

  • French: Proficient
  • English: Advanced

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, an advanced level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec.
