Since the release of Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM) in 2018, the product has rapidly matured to become a foundational must-have component for cloud master data management. The intuitive user interface, robust feature set, and ability to provide a business-focused data governance and master data solution has accelerated its adoption as clients migrate to the cloud.
While people understand the common tasks EDM does well (hierarchy management, approval workflows, and Oracle ERP/EPM integration to name a few), many do not realize there is much more EDM is capable of. Did you know EDM can maintain mappings for EPM and ERP use cases, or that EDM can be used as a Chart of Accounts accelerator to enable COA re-design, or that EDM can manage non-financial master data?
