Your role, your impact
As a talent attraction team lead, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the talent attraction team within Canada, primarily in the province of Quebec and the Toronto area. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the tactical aspects of the talent attraction process, ensuring that the team meets its objectives and delivers high-quality candidates to the organization. You will work closely with the talent attraction manager to implement strategies and ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process for both contractors and permanent employees.
Your day-to-day

Team Management: Lead and manage a team of talent attraction advisors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively, meeting all recruitment targets and deadlines. Assign positions and manage the workload of team members to optimize productivity and performance;

Talent Attraction Responsibilities: Handle recruitment tasks equivalent to half of a full-time talent attraction advisor’s workload. This includes identifying, interviewing, and selecting top talent;

Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the talent attraction process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring. Ensure that all processes are followed correctly and that the team adheres to best practices;

Candidate Sourcing: Implement and manage various sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates. Use job boards, social media, networking, and other channels to identify potential candidates;

Metrics and Reporting: Track key performance metrics related to talent attraction. Provide regular reports to the Talent Attraction Manager on the team’s performance and identify areas for improvement;

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the talent attraction processes. Implement new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide timely updates on the recruitment process. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration;

System Utilization: Ensure the effective use of the applicant tracking system (ATS) by the team. Provide coaching and training to team members as needed to enhance their proficiency with the ATS. Conduct regular audits to verify proper usage and adherence to best practices.
Keys to your success

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field;

Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition or any relevant field;

Ability to lead and manage a team effectively;

Proficiency in using recruitment software and applicant tracking systems (ATS) to streamline processes;

Skilled at anticipating hiring needs and taking initiative to address them;

Strong analytical skills to assess recruitment metrics and problem-solving abilities to address challenges;

Adept at understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of candidates and hiring managers;

In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various departments;

Capable of inspiring and motivating the recruitment team to achieve their goals;

Flexible in adapting to changing recruitment needs and priorities.

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec.
