Your role, your impact
As a senior financial analyst, Taxation, you will report to the manager, Taxation. You will play a key role in preparing quarterly provisions and consolidating tax provisions. Additionally, you will be involved in the company’s entire tax return process, from data collection to tax filing.
Your day-to-day

Analyze and prepare tax account balances and reconciliations, and prepare all tax accounting entries;

Prepare various Canadian tax forms;

Participate in tax audits and prepare the required documentation;

Monitor and analyze notices of assessment and related payments;

Assist in addressing questions related to consumption taxes;

Collaborate on special projects such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and integrations of acquired companies;

Support internal controls related to tax compliance.
Keys to your success

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related training;
-
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or in the process of obtaining it;

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;

Excellent proficiency in office automation tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint;

Ability to manage priorities while meeting deadlines;
-
Demonstrated resourcefulness, autonomy, attention to detail, initiative, and commitment;

Teamwork and communication skills.
Extra edge

Knowledge of Oracle;
-
Knowledge of software used to produce tax returns and tax forms, such as Corporate Taxprep and Taxprep Forms.
Language skills
- French: Advanced
- English: Proficient
Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, an a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec.
