Scala Developer - TD

• Responsible for application analysis, design and development across multiple client server or web-based platforms
• Work closely with business units to review business requirements and feasibility from the
• technical perspective and to finalize requirement.
• Develop and maintain database scripts.
• Develop applications in Scala (mostly Spark Applications), Java, Angular and Cassandra.
• Work on moving existing Analytics platform (on-premises infrastracture) to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Perform code review written by junior/intermediate developers on team.
• Perform unit testing.
• Comply with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Take part in construction of the requirements, design, testing and deployment documents.
• Ensure consistency in coding standards.
• Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.

MUST HAVE:

• Degree/Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Years of experience: 10 + years
• Databricks experience (Databricks Lakehouse platform is a plus)

• Experience with Cloud computing (one of: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) applications (batch processing) using Scala or Java
• Java

• SQL
• Big Data technologies (HDFS, Spark, Casandra)
• Scala or Functional Programing Enthusiast

• Cloud migration experience
