Your role, your impact
As a Microsoft D365 F&O technical architecture consultant, you will provide both technical and functional knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics product being implemented, and of all related Microsoft technologies required for the implementation. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, development and supervision of technical tasks for implementations. You will work closely with Services Management and the project manager to ensure a successful implementation.
Travel to client sites may be required up to 20% of the time.
Your day-to-day

Support:

technical analysis and planning of the internal system and proposed solutions;

licence definition and service estimations for technical and development tasks;

the analysis of interfaces with existing systems and third-party solutions.

the creation of design documentation for client understanding and acceptance.

Review:

and present the results of the phase;

system configurations;

preparation for deployment;

and present the application documentation and design to the client.

Validate:

the infrastructure and update the design;

whether the current system structure supports the new version of the Microsoft Dynamics solution.

Interview candidate developers;

Train and mentor junior development team members;

Develop and maintain a technical knowledge base;

Act as a resource person for consultants;

Ensure that a technical solution meets the client’s business requirements;

Advise clients on technical solutions for their business and be familiar with both the application and technical aspects of the Microsoft Dynamics solution;
-
Play a leading role in contributing to the development of best practice design and technical solutions;
-
Conduct information technology assessments, participate in design reviews, validate approaches and recommend solutions and products;
-
Use knowledge of technology and industry trends to examine a specific business problem and possible solutions.
Keys to your success

Bachelor’s degree;
-
Minimum of 15 years of technical experience in a software research/development environment;
-
Proven track record of managing software development projects on time and on budget;
-
Experience in:
-
business process modelling;
-
project management;
-
software installation.

In-depth knowledge of:
-
software development cycle and willingness to follow and/or evolve Alithya procedures;
-
Microsoft technology stack;
-
Microsoft Dynamics implementation methodology and underlying Microsoft technologies.

Knowledge of interviewing techniques to obtain the correct information from a client;

Ability to:
-
demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics from both an application and technical perspective;

lead small and large teams and work individually;
-
manage technical tasks;

present yourself in a sales and implementation role.

Creative problem solving and conflict resolution;

Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills.

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, an advanced level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a regular basis with clients outside of Quebec.
