Your role, your impact

Reporting to the Senior Director, Delivery – Insurance Sector, you will be responsible for a professional team specializing in Guidewire solutions that support delivery needs of the insurance sector.

You will oversee the delivery of projects using Guidewire solutions, as well as the continuous development of Guidewire expertise and skills within your teams. Additionally, you will work directly with our clients, particularly during initial discussions and requirements gathering in collaboration with insurance sector partners and clients, as well as the Senior Director, Delivery. Your involvement will be crucial at the start of new projects or during critical phases of their lifecycle.

Your day-to-day

  • Manage a standardized service offering that aligns with the client’s needs;

  • Develop toolkits and accelerators, and implement best practices to ensure efficiency and quality of services provided;

  • Communicate the Guidewire service offering to both internal and external stakeholders;

  • Lead a team of Guidewire experts in delivering services to business sectors or clients, ensuring excellent planning, coordination, and supervision of Guidewire projects to meet deadlines and stay within budget;

  • Participate in recruiting new team members under your management;

  • Monitor your team’s utilization rate to ensure resources are available when needed;

  • As an expert in your field, occasionally contribute to drafting business proposals and support business development teams regarding the proposed solution and required efforts;

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with solution providers supporting your area of expertise.

Keys to your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in a IT-related field or equivalent experience;

  • Guidewire certification;

  • 10 to 15 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 2 years in IT team management;

  • Experience managing complex projects, preferably in the insurance sector;

  • In-depth knowledge of Guidewire solutions and best practices;

  • Knowledge of technologies and programming languages relevant to Guidewire solutions;

  • Strong understanding of the insurance market and emerging technologies;

  • Excellent writing skills, particularly in the context of preparing client proposals;

  • Ability to produce accurate and concise documentation.

Language skills

  • French: Proficient
  • English: Proficient

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec.
