As a control systems engineer, you will join a technical project team to tackle challenging and interesting projects, primarily within the nuclear industry, delivering technical documentation, hardware, and software to clients. In this role, you will be required to maintain a high level of professionalism, client confidentiality and ethical standards, while adapting effectively to changes in project scope and client requirements. If you are comfortable in client-facing situations, results-driven, flexible, take ownership of tasks and enjoy variety in your work, then this role is for you.

  • Produce requirements and design documents related to the project scope, as well as testing documents if required;

  • Write code for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAs;

  • Run rounds of testing pertaining to the project scope as needed;

  • Stay up to date on evolving technologies and best practices

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree (or similar post-secondary education) in computer science or engineering, with demonstrated academic excellence;

  • Professional Engineer license in Ontario (or pursuing);

  • 5 to 10 years of experience developing and testing control systems;

  • Experience creating engineering documentation;

  • In-depth knowledge of PLCs and SCADA programming and configuration, including familiarity with several IEC61131 languages;

  • Ability to work effectively and independently, with minimal supervision, producing quality results;

  • Effective time management to meet deadlines and maintain productivity;

  • Clear and effective communication, fostering strong relationships with clients and team members.


Assets:

  • Experience in the nuclear industry;

  • Commissioning and installation experience;

  • Ability to design Instrumentation & Control systems and familiarity using electrical drafting tools.

Language skills:
  • English: Proficient
