PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
A Computer Engineering graduate from the Royal Military College of Canada and member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec) and Institute of Corporate Directors, Paul Raymond has more than 30 years of experience in the business world. Before becoming President and CEO of Alithya in 2011, this visionary held several key senior management positions in a major information technology firms and served as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. He has traveled to and lived in many parts of Europe, the USA, and Canada while in these functions. In addition to overseeing the strategy, organizational development and accelerated growth of Alithya, Paul is also the promoter of the company values and culture, which he shares with his team. Recognized as a builder and a leader in the industry, he was recently admitted to the select 30% Club, which promotes diversity and advocates for the advancement of women to executive and board positions. On behalf of Alithya, he also received the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from EY Québec in the IT category. Paul Raymond also sits on the Board of Directors of the Quebec Technology Association (AQT).
As an ardent promoter of social responsibility, he assumes the role of presidency of the organism and he’s also President and President of the Board of Directors for the Quebec chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, furthermore, he is involved in several other charitable causes.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
After 28 years with a national telecommunications giant, where he held a series of key executive positions, Claude Rousseau joined the Quebec Remparts, the city’s junior hockey franchise, in 2008. He served as team manager until December 2014, in addition to advising executive management at TELUS Quebec. Recognized for his operational expertise, Mr. Rousseau is also known for his negotiation skills, his diplomacy and the strength of his network. He joined Alithya in January 2015, first as Senior Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer, then as Chief Operating Officer. His strong background in information technology and his leadership allowed him to reach the rank of chief for all business units of Alithya. Mr. Rousseau leads the offices in Quebec, Canada and internationally.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Graduated in Commerce from the University of Ottawa, Mathieu Lupien has over 25 years of experience with companies operating in diversified industries, both in Canada and internationally. With a solid financial expertise, M. Lupien worked as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of LG-Ericsson Inc. He also contributed to the Oracle GL implementation in Guyancourt, France and worked for Optical Long Haut Finance in Boca Raton, Florida. Until recently, he served as CFO of Canadian Steamship Lines Group (CSL). His experience and knowledge of the national and international market will contribute to the execution of Alithya’s strategic plan. M. Lupien holds the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
As a Computer Engineering graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada, Robert Lamarre has been working in the IT sector since 1987. Prior to joining Alithya, he spent much of his career at CGI, where he rose through the ranks to hold a number of management positions. He delivered projects in both languages across Canada and the United States. Mr. Lamarre is results oriented and has a passion for problem-solving and coming up with solutions when time is of the essence. With a strong aversion to the status quo, he pushes ahead with his projects to achieve their objectives. His decision-making skills and his high level of involvement with work teams translate to a leadership based on attentiveness and an understanding of those he works with. In addition to managing digital technology, his role at Alithya is to ensure the integration of acquisitions, the management of the real estate portfolio and the optimisation of the procurement process. Mr. Lamarre has been Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer since April 2016.
BUSINESS UNIT VICE PRESIDENT, RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUEBEC CITY REGION
A graduate of the University of Laval in Computer Science Management, he also holds a Masters degree in project management (MGP) from the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières. Guy Paquet has more than 30 years of experience in the field of information technology. He is best known for his expertise in IT administration, software and development. He is also a recognized lecturer and teacher.
Guy Paquet has contributed to the success of several organizations by designing and implementing strategies aimed at the integration of all the concepts and tools surrounding project management or major transformations such as the implementation of Agility, Service Oriented Approaches, or Big Data. Some of his projects have received awards of excellence. Since October 2017, he has been responsible for the Quebec City region.
VICE PRESIDENT, ONTARIO AND WESTERN CANADA
Nigel Fonseca is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Toronto and holds a P.ENG designation from the Professional Engineers of Ontario. Formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Systemware Innovation Corporation (SWI), Mr. Fonseca has a strong reputation for driving continuous results through his exceptional leadership skills, deep technical knowledge, and innovative thinking. Prior to his appointment to CEO of SWI, he assumed the position of Vice President Engineering at SWI, where he successfully delivered on strategic projects in the energy and financial industries spanning the globe, while ensuring SWI’s adherence to sound IT and engineering practices. He is a member of the Canadian Nuclear Association Board of Directors, and Chair of the TechConnex Board of Directors. Nigel Fonseca has held the position of Vice-President, Ontario and Western Canada since Alithya’s acquisition of SWI in April 2017.
VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS, ONTARIO
Margot Loren is a respected high-level manager with more than 25 years of experience in the information technology industry. She is a physics graduate from the University of Toronto, and holds a PMP designation from the Project Management Institute, and a CISCM Certified Information Security Management designation from ISACA. Ms. Loren previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Systemware Innovation Corporation (SWI) where she managed all aspects of day-to-day operations. Before assuming the role of COO, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Halcyon Monitoring Solutions, where she provided strategic direction and successfully drove business growth. She is an experienced project manager with a consistent track record of successful delivery on multi-million dollar projects and has a proven ability to achieve consensus among diverse stakeholder groups. Margot Loren has held the position of Regional VP of Operations for Ontario since Alithya’s acquisition of SWI in April 2017.
REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT, FRANCE
After earning a degree in Computer Science from Université de Nice, Franck Benhamou went on to spend many years in IT and development. After putting in time in key positions with major companies and heading large business units, his entrepreneurial spirit prompted him to start his own business delivering customized IT services. Mr. Benhamou, as Vice President and CEO for Alithya Consulting France, is responsible for managing the firm’s French subsidiary, which has four offices across the Atlantic: Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Sophia Antipolis and Toulouse. Mr. Benhamou joined the firm in November 2003 after Alithya acquired the French firm Zinnia.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS
Graduated from the Université Laval with a degree in Business Administration, organizational information systems, Dany Paradis also earned a CMA certification. She has over 20 years of experience in the implementation of Management Information Systems and accounting. Recognised for her analytical skills and her leadership, she worked on several Oracle ERP implementation and migration projects. Before serving as co-president and accounting manager at PRO2P, she held the positions of project manager and delivery director at the company, where she developed and implemented projects for the Desjardins Movement, as well as for Montreal City. Since Alithya acquired PRO2P in October 2016, Mrs. Paradis holds the position of Vice President, Oracle Practice.
VICE PRESIDENT, ORACLE PRACTICE
Graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke with a degree in Business Computing, Éric Therrien has over 20 years of experience with the Oracle E-Business Suite software tools. Over the past two decades in the consulting field, he has held several Oracle implementation and migration mandates. He has developed a solid expertise in project management, technological and functional architecture, business analysis, functional variance analysis, and in Oracle E-Business Suite software system administration. Before joining Alithya’s management team, he held the position of co-president at PRO2P, besides looking after the business development and account management of the firm. Recognized for his leadership, Eric has excellent knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite. Since Alithya acquired PRO2P in October 2016, M. Therrien holds the position of Vice President, Oracle Practice.
VICE-PRESIDENT, HIRING SOLUTIONS
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a sales and marketing profile from ESG-UQAM, Melissa Bouchard-Viau has a solid track record in talent recruitment and business development. Her journey brought her to the largest recruitment firm in Canada where she evolved over several years. She was at first a consultant and Division Manager before becoming a Branch Manager. She helped acquire some of the company’s most important clients in the province. The branch she managed also made the Top 10 List on several occasions. Between 2015 and 2017, she pursued her career at a large global recruitment company. First as Head of the Montreal Recruitment Consulting Branch, then as National Director of the Recruitment Consulting line of business, specializing in mass recruitment and outsourcing. Under her leadership, the recruitment business unit grew by 147% in 2016 and by 186% in 2017 and she won a Superstar Award in 2016. Ms. Bouchard-Viau is result oriented. She has been Vice-President, Hiring Solutions at Alithya since August 2017.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, QUEBEC
Eric Banville graduated from Université Laval in 1986 with a degree in Business Computing and has since earned his PMP certification. He has over 30 years of experience in the consulting business, specializing in IT and project management. As the executive responsible for business relationships and for the Alythia client experience in the banking and financial sectors, his work involves close cooperation with Desjardins. Known for his ability to deliver projects with a people-based management approach, he maintains exceptional ties with clients. Mr. Banville has been with Alithya (formerly CIA) since March 1997. He began as Director, Consulting, in Quebec City, then went on to become Regional Vice President for Montréal (4 years) and for Paris (2 years). Mr. Banville holds the position of Vice President, Banking and Financial Sectors.
VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
A graduate of Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in Business Computing, Michel Richard has over 25 years of experience in the Canadian Armed the Forces and with major IT companies. As a seasoned manager, he applies his integrity and strategic vision to innovation and the creation of projects that meet client needs. He is known for establishing long-term relationships based on trust with colleagues and clients alike. In addition to mentoring start-ups working with the business incubator at École de technologie supérieure (ETS), Mr. Richard is also involved with a number of charities, including Make-a-Wish / Fais-Un-Vœu Québec and Mira. Michel Richard is Vice President, Strategic Alliances. Since January 2017, he has been responsible for strategic alliances.
VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNICATIONS AND INVESTOR RELATIONS
Recipient of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Laval University, Gladys Caron has over 25 years of experience in the fields of communications, marketing, and investor relations. Her career path has taken her through the financial, engineering, and, most recently, information technology industries. Having quickly risen through the ranks, she is recognized for her leadership, her global vision of organizations and her ability to work in complex environments. In the various management positions she has held, she has been able to contribute positively to company brand image and the mobilization of employees. Chief of Communications for Alithya since January 2018, Ms. Caron sits on the Management Committee and is responsible for strategies to promote the company to all of its audiences.
Brian Nolan holds an Engineering degree from the University of Ottawa, in addition to his PMP certification, and has spent 17 years in the IT industry. He joined Alithya in 2008 after holding several senior management positions in the private and public sectors. He is responsible for the Ottawa–Gatineau region and for a national telecom client operating in Ottawa, Toronto and Western Canada. His work focuses on understanding client needs and achieving objectives for every project delivered. Mr. Nolan has been Alithya’s Director, Consulting, since 2008.
